Aatmanirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana (ABRY)
Due to the Corona pandemic, many people had to leave their jobs. Keeping this in mind, the country’s Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, launched the Self-Reliant India Employment Scheme. Under this scheme, subsidies will be provided to all establishments, enabling employment opportunities for as many people as possible. The Self-Reliant India Employment Scheme will increase employment in the country.
Ayushman Bharat Yojana
This scheme aims to provide quality healthcare and health insurance to all citizens, and numerous awareness campaigns are being launched to achieve this goal. Under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana, the central government will provide health insurance up to ₹500,000 to each beneficiary family. Numerous government hospitals will be included, allowing people across India to receive free treatment for serious illnesses.
PM Kisan Samman Nidhi
This scheme has been launched for small and marginal farmers. Under the scheme, farmers will receive a yearly ₹6,000 subsidy. The central government will transfer an amount of ₹2,000 every four months.
The funds will be transferred to beneficiaries’ bank accounts via DBT (Direct Bank Transfer). All Indian farmers with land holdings between 1 hectare and 5 hectares can apply for this scheme.
Agnipath Yojana
The Agnipath scheme, launched by the country’s Defense Minister, will recruit young people into the military for four years. They can participate in the Army, Air Force, or Navy. Upon completion of the four-year period, all young people will receive a government grant of ₹1.1 million.
Upon completion of their military service, only 25% of soldiers will be retained in the Dena. This scheme is only for young people between the ages of 17 and 21. Under the Agnipath scheme, soldiers will receive an annual salary of ₹4.76 lakh in the first year.
PM Kusum Yojana
The PM Kusum Yojana has been launched for farmers, providing them with solar-powered irrigation pumps. The central government has allocated a budget of ₹34,035 crore for this scheme. This scheme will increase farmers’ income.
Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana
Under the Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, free rations are being distributed to 80 crore people in the country. This scheme was launched by PM Modi on 30 May 2020, after which in November 2023, this scheme was extended for the next 5 years. Rations are provided to the poor citizens of the country through the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana. Under the free ration, citizens will be provided 5 kg of wheat or rice for free.
Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana – Gramin
The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana aims to provide housing to all the lower classes, backward classes, and economically weaker sections of the country. Those who are particularly poor and do not own a home will receive financial assistance. This scheme will operate in both rural and urban areas.
Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana
The name of this scheme itself suggests that it was launched for women. Under the Maternity Vandana Scheme, the central government will provide financial assistance of ₹6,000 to pregnant women, enabling them to take better care of themselves and their unborn child. The Maternity Vandana Scheme was first launched in 2019.
Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme
This scheme was launched to address the rising unemployment in the country. Under the Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Yojana, the government will provide loans to unemployed youth at low interest rates. This way, they can start their own employment and businesses. All individuals between the ages of 18 and 35 are eligible for this scheme.
