The Madhya Pradesh government has launched the ‘Kamgar Setu Portal‘ with the aim of providing employment to rural workers. Under this scheme, financial assistance of ₹10,000 is being provided to self-employed rural workers and street vendors.
The Gramin Kaamgar Setu portal is being operated by the Department of Panchayat and Rural Development. This scheme assists migrant workers, street vendors, rickshaw pullers, and other laborers. It will aid the economic development of workers living in rural areas.

What is Kaamgar Setu?
The Madhya Pradesh government has launched the ‘Gramin Kamgar Setu’ portal to provide financial assistance to workers and street vendors living in rural areas. Under this initiative, a decision has been made to provide financial aid to rural workers to help them start their own businesses or expand their existing employment activities.
The government will provide a loan of ₹10,000 to street vendors in rural areas, which will greatly assist them in starting their businesses. Furthermore, no security will be required for this loan, and the loan amount will be interest-free.
Kamgar Setu Eligibility Criteria
Only eligible individuals will receive the benefits of the Gramin Kamgar Setu Yojana. The conditions for availing the benefits of the Kamgar Setu portal are as follows.
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of the rural districts of Madhya Pradesh.
- Only street vendors can participate in this program.
- The applicant must be between 18 and 55 years of age.
- There are no caste-based restrictions; therefore, individuals from any caste may apply.
- Applicants from any educational background are eligible to apply.

Registration process on Kamgar Setu
Interested citizens of the state who wish to avail the benefits of the Gramin Kamgar Setu Yojana, launched by the Madhya Pradesh state government, are required to apply online. To apply, they must adhere to the following guidelines.
Step 1: First, visit the official website at https://urbankaamgar.mp.gov.in.
Step 2: Next, enter your mobile number and the captcha code, then click the “Get OTP” button.
Step 3: Enter the OTP received on your mobile number. Then, select the district and development block.
Step 4: Select the employment option and click “Submit.”
Step 5: Enter your Aadhaar number and the captcha code. You will need to verify your Aadhaar for e-KYC.
Step 6: Two options are available for this: OTP and biometric. Authenticate using either one of them.
Step 7: Next, enter details such as photograph, name, date of birth, address, etc.
Step 8: Fill in the Samagra-based details. In the subsequent step, enter your occupation details.
Step 9: Then, the applicant must confirm whether the details are correct.
Step 10: Finally, enter the captcha code and click on “Submit”.
This completes the registration process. After successful registration, you will receive your credentials on the registered mobile number. Applicants can use these to check their status.
