Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana has been launched by the Central Government. This scheme provides free medical treatment up to ₹500,000 per year to every family living in India. This scheme was specifically launched with poor families in mind.

There are many families who are unable to get treatment for serious illness due to financial constraints. Therefore, the central government announced this scheme to provide free medical care to all. Everyone in a family will benefit from this scheme, and for this, everyone is also being provided with an Ayushman Card.

What is Ayushman Bharat Yojana

There are some poor families in India who are unable to get treatment when they suffer from a serious illness, hence to help those families in getting treatment, Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana has been started.

Under this scheme, treatment up to ₹5 lakh is provided free of charge, covering approximately 1,350 illnesses. The Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana provides free insurance coverage of ₹5 lakh annually to poor and middle-class families.

Objective of Ayushman Bharat Scheme

The main objective of Ayushman Bharat Yojana (Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana) launched by the Central Government is to provide financial assistance to poor families for the treatment of serious diseases. Poor families are unable to get treatment due to lack of money, hence under this scheme, treatment up to Rs 5 lakh is being provided free of cost.

Ayushman Bharat Scheme Eligibility

  • Only Indian citizens will be eligible for the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.
  • To apply, applicants must be between 16 and 60 years of age.
  • Poor families can apply for the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.
  • The applicant must have a valid ration card.
  • No member of the applicant’s family should be in a government job.

Who cannot become a beneficiary of Ayushman Bharat Scheme

This scheme was created with economically weaker families in mind, which is why only economically weaker families are receiving its benefits.

  • Kisan Credit Card holders
  • Government employees
  • Owners of two-wheelers, three-wheelers, or four-wheelers
  • Families who use machinery or other equipment in their fields.
  • People earning 10,000 rupees or more per month.
  • People living in good or permanent houses.
  • Owners of motorized fishing boats
  • Owners of more than five acres of land
  • People working in government agricultural enterprises

Facilities available under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme

Under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana (PM Ayushman Bharat Yojana), a family is provided with insurance coverage of ₹5 lakh. This coverage covers all family members, and there are no age or gender restrictions. The person suffering from the disease is made a beneficiary from the first day and is given various benefits under the scheme.

  • Hospitalization expenses up to 15 days
  • Medical expenses after discharge after three days of hospitalization
  • Examination, treatment, and consultation expenses
  • Medicines and medical consumables
  • Laboratory and diagnostic tests
  • Hospital accommodation and food costs
  • Implantation services, if needed
  • Treatment to eliminate complications during treatment.

Online registration of Ayushman Bharat Scheme

The online registration process for PMJAY, or Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana, has begun. You can easily apply from the comfort of your home. You need to follow a simple procedure.

  • First, visit the official website of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana at https://pmjay.gov.in/.
  • Now click on the option “Am I eligible?”
  • You will need to enter your mobile number and captcha.
  • After that, click to generate the OTP.
  • Now enter your name, address, and ration card details and select your state.
  • Then verify the registration.

Download Ayushman Bharat Yojana Card Online

After registering for the Ayushman Bharat scheme, eligible individuals are issued an Ayushman card, which helps citizens access treatment. To download the Ayushman Bharat Yojana card, you must visit the official website. Once there, you must log in to the portal using your email address.

You will now need to enter your Aadhaar number. After this, you will see beneficiary options. You will also see the download option, through which you can download your Ayushman Bharat Yojana card.
