The Bihar government has launched the Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana to encourage girls to pursue education. The aim of this scheme is to empower women and girls. Any girl who passes 10th, 12th and graduation is given an incentive amount of Rs 10 thousand, 25 thousand and ₹50000.

This scheme, launched by Bihar Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar, provides various benefits to girls from birth to graduation. So far, financial assistance has been provided to about 1,50,00,000 girls under this scheme.

What is Kanya Utthan Yojana?

The Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana (MKUY) is a social welfare scheme launched by the Government of Bihar in 2018. Under the MKUY scheme, girls from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) families are eligible to receive financial assistance.

The MKUY scheme also provides financial assistance to girls who have passed Class 12 and are pursuing higher education. Funds will be arranged for this scheme by the state government.

Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana Bihar

The Chief Minister Kanya Utthan Yojana has been launched by the Bihar government with the aim of encouraging the education and development of girls in the state.

Under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana, the girl child will receive Rs 300 for sanitary napkins and Rs 600 for uniforms when she moves from Class 1 to Class 2. Uniforms will be provided for classes 3 to 5, with ₹700 and ₹1,000 for uniforms for classes 6 to 8. The Bihar government will provide ₹1,500 for uniforms for classes 9 to 12.

Once a girl completes her graduation, she is provided with additional financial assistance of ₹50,000. Only girls from poor families can apply under this scheme. The registration process for the Bihar Chief Minister Kanya Utthan Yojana has begun. All eligible girls can apply and receive financial assistance.

• To apply for the Chief Minister’s Kanya Utthan Yojana, you must visit the official website.
• Once you are on the official website’s homepage, you must click on the link for the Chief Minister’s Kanya Utthan Yojana.
• Now you need to click on the “Student Click Here to Apply” option.
• A new page will open where you will need to complete your registration by entering your mobile number and captcha code.
• After completing the registration, a form will open. Enter all the information in the application form and upload the scanned documents.
• Finally, click the Submit button to complete the application.

This completes the registration process and you will receive an application number. Take a printout of this and keep it with you. This will help you check your application status.
