The UP Scholarship Scheme covers both pre-matric (class 9-10) and post-matric (class 11-12, graduation, diploma) students. Eligible students can apply for the UP Scholarship online. Registration for the scholarship can be done by visiting the official website, scholarship.up.gov.in.

UP Scholarship

The Uttar Pradesh State Government has launched the scholarship to provide financial assistance to meritorious students belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, OBC or Minority category and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) of the society.

Under this scheme, scholarships are provided to pre-matric and post-matric students. The aim of this scheme is to reduce the financial burden on poor students and their families, thereby ensuring that everyone can get education.

The UP Scholarship provides Pre-Matric and Post-Matric financial assistance to resident students of Uttar Pradesh.

UP Scholarship Eligibility

Only eligible students will benefit from the UP government’s scholarship scheme. The government has issued certain terms and conditions that applicants should be aware of.

Students applying must be residents of Uttar Pradesh.
The applicant must be enrolled in a school/college in Uttar Pradesh.
All 10th-grade pass students who are studying in classes 11 and 12 are eligible to apply for the UP Scholarship.
Applicant students must have passed their final exams.
These scholarships are applicable for General, SC, ST, OBC and minority community students.

Documents Required for Uttar Pradesh Scholarship

Residence proof (Voter ID, Aadhaar card, PAN card, or driving license)
Caste certificate
Passport-sized photo (JPEG or JPG format, file size should not exceed 20 KB)
Annual family income certificate
Mark sheets and certificates from qualifying examinations
Current year’s fee receipt or admission card
Birth certificate
Identity proof (Student ID)
Bank passbook

How to register for UP Scholarship?

Registration process

Visit the official website of UP Scholarship, scholarship.up.gov.in.
Click on the Student section of the homepage. Select the Registration option in the drop-down menu.
On the Student Registration page, select the registration option based on your caste category and class.
After selecting the appropriate option, a registration form will open, requiring you to fill in the details.
After filling in all the information, click the Submit button.
Your registration will now be complete and you will receive a Login ID and Password.

Login and Application Submission Process

You can log in to the website using your Login ID and Password.
A drop-down menu will open.
If you’ve just registered, select Fresh Login. If you applied last term and want to renew this year, select Renewal Login.
After this, select the type of your course (like Pre-Matric, Intermediate, Post-Matric etc.) and click on it.
The login page will now open. Here, you will need to enter your registration number, date of birth, and captcha code.
After filling in all the information, click the Submit button.
You will now be logged into your dashboard. Here, you will need to complete your form in steps.
After completing the form, take a printout of your application for verification and get it verified at your educational institution.
After 3 days of getting the verification done from the institute, take the final print of the application and submit it to the institute.

The application process for scholarships, which are offered by the Uttar Pradesh government to provide financial assistance to students, has begun. Students who received scholarships in the previous academic year can also apply for renewal. Apart from this, all the students from other states who have taken admission in any college of Uttar Pradesh can also apply for the scholarship.
